But the mechs painfully look like 80s transformers toys which just. Frankly it just looks like what it feels Elite Dangerous is to space flying, a masterpiece of simulation feeling, really getting across the feel of weight and seriousness. Lastly, we have to mention Mechwarrior 5. The combination of the UI and the overall graphics makes it sligtly more on the cartoonish side which isn't for my taste, but if it can make up for it mechanically and be better than Battletech then I'm fine with that. looks more polished, but I'm not sure if that is the actual case. I don't want to run into something like that with any of the games you can vote for here. And into that enemies spawn into the middle of your system all the time, turning the whole campaign into an untolerably bad whack-a-mole where you cannot progress with your galaxy conquering because you have more than the current max number of fleets somehow but still not enough to both defend your ecnomy far back and advance forward. For example, Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 is a genius ship combat game with a fun light Total War / Civ-like light turn based galaxy conquering. However I have no idea about the actual overall gameplay experience, and have worries. #Phantom brigade mech professional#What I like about Battletech is that it's menu system feels very much like NieR Automata and Elite Dangerous's performance customization, it just looks serious and professional and that's exactly what I'm looking for. It's about the feeling of controlling a walking factory / factory machine into combat like the titans of Warhammer 40.000 (except Adeptus Titanicus is said to be a horribly bad game), not about the genre itself: it can be real time, FPS, TPS, RTS, turn based RTS, turn based TPS, anything. I'm not interested in Titanfall 1 for it's lack of proper campaign. I've finished Titanfall 2 and absolutely loved the way mechs are portrayed there and I'm looking for something that feels similar, but not necessarily from the same genre. What I love about them is their raw nature, the giant industrial death machine fantasy, so the japanese stylish anime mechs are really not my kind of thing. Took me 20 years but I've recently fallen in love with the idea of giants mechs after my interest dropped about them when I was roughly 8 years old.
